Drawing - Spiny Rats
November 16th, 2006 - I’m back trying to work through my fur issues 
Fur and feathers still are very hard for me to get to look realistic and not just lines on paper. This image looked like a good one to try. Plus it had a lot of negative space that I could try bringing the subject to the foreground with a darker background.
Analysis - The eyes and ears came out fairly well, like normal. The fur… looks like scribbles on the page. I’m disappointed again in my fur abilities. I do however like how the rats contrast against the dark background and somewhat pop out.
