April 15th, 2006 – Another drawing chosen by Aleah. She loves frog almost as much as birds. I’m still working on lines, shading, and bringing out some realism before I get to the hard things like fur and feather textures.

Analysis – The work on the eye has improved a lot. We see the eye as the spark of life in most animals, and a great eye can really bring a picture out. The shading, although rough to my current sense, is a good progression from my earlier drawings. The addition of some background subject matter also adds to the drawing.
