Drawing - Orchid

September 18th, 2008 - This was drawn from a real object instead of a picture, which requires a bit more interpretation of the subtle light shades and proportions. It was a good subject to draw as the colors and textures are fairly simple.

Analysis - I like the final result, but I think it’s more from the beauty of the subject than from my drawing. In other words it’s hard to mess up such a beautiful flower. :) But the shading on the green leaves is terrible in my eyes.
